A celebrated Napa Valley restaurant offering seasonal, family-style dishes in a warm, rustic setting—now with a refreshed brand identity that reflects its welcoming spirit.
The Charter Oak, led by Chef Christopher Kostow, is known for its elemental cooking style, emphasizing seasonal ingredients and family-style dining in a beautifully restored space.
To align the visual identity with the restaurant's inviting atmosphere, we redesigned the logo to infuse more personality and warmth. Drawing inspiration from an acorn-shaped light fixture within the restaurant, we developed a new acorn symbol that embodies the establishment's connection to nature and its namesake. Additionally, we created a custom illustration for the menu, enhancing the tactile and approachable feel of the dining experience. The updated branding captures the essence of The Charter Oak—elegant yet unpretentious, rooted in tradition while embracing a fresh, modern sensibility.
