Nonna Mercato – Long Beach, CA

Logo Designs, Pattern Design, Menus, Packaging

A neighborhood artisan bakery and pastaio inspired by the flavors and traditions of Southern France, Italy, and California.

Founded by Chef Cameron Slaugh, Nonna Mercato is rooted in classic techniques and time-honored baking traditions, brought to life with a Mediterranean sensibility.

We created a brand identity that blends old-world charm with fresh, modern appeal. The logo features a botanical illustration of a citrus branch—complete with orange and blossom—paying homage to the lush groves of Southern Italy and Southern California.

Vibrant patterns are used on the packaging to bring playful energy and visual variety to the product line. A warm palette of blue and yellow evokes a distinctly European mood, while typewriter-style typography adds a subtle nod to traditional recipe cards. The result is a brand that feels both timeless and thoughtfully crafted, just like Nonna’s kitchen.
